“The only thing better than Erin's work is working with Erin. Her designs are on point, but what's even better is what she brings to the team: collaborative, thoughtful, insightful, and warm. She can navigate both design professionals and design newbies while making everyone feel comfortable. Having her talent and insights on a team has been invaluable. ”

The Challenge

Downtown Portland has changed a lot the past few years. The pandemic has altered our once famous dining scene: some favorites have closed, some changed locations, some changed menus, and some new exciting concepts emerged…. Ticket to Dine is an exciting new event that invites you to rediscover downtown dining. The branding included a logo, promotional materials, and the creation of a scratch-it ticket that diners would receive, their ticket to win fabulous prizes.

The Strategy

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Results

The branding for this event needed to be eye-catching and harken back to the hustle and bustle of the old Portland food scene. The color palette was derived from an illustration by local artist Ursula Barton, and the artwork featured prominently in the scratch-it and promotional materials.

Website

“Erin is my secret weapon.  When I have a project that needs someone who can take a half-formed idea and make it complete, professional, and creative- Erin always hits the target. She makes me look like a rockstar with my clients and I trust whenever I put out something with Erin's designs, it will be a hit (even with design snobs!).
